## Tencent Ubuntu Username

When using a Tencent Ubuntu image, the default username is `ubuntu`, not `root`:

1. **SSH with correct username** — Use `ubuntu@your-vps-ip` instead of `root@your-vps-ip`. The username is shown on the VPS **Access** tab.

2. **Example SSH command** — `ssh ubuntu@203.0.113.1`
3. **Switch to root after login** — Once logged in, use `sudo -i` or `sudo su -` to switch to root.
4. **Check /etc/ssh/sshd_config** — Tencent images often disable root login by default. Edit `PermitRootLogin` if needed.

> **Note:** This applies to Tencent Ubuntu images. Other providers may use different default usernames.
